Biz journalist Hall joining Brunswick Group

Glenn Hall

Longtime business journalist Glenn Hall, most recently at The Wall Street Journal, is joining Brunswick Group as a partner and executive editor.

He will start April 24.

Hall most recently was head of professional news and oversaw Dow Jones Newswires and the WSJ Pro and C-Suite services. Previously, he was editor in chief of both MarketWatch.com and TheStreet.com and spent 10 years at Bloomberg in Europe and Washington, D.C. in various senior editorial roles.

“Glenn is a highly experienced media professional, with deep expertise in creating and distributing compelling content across channels,” said Brunswick Group CEO Neal Wolin in a statement.

Hall was also previously business editor of the Orange County Register and is the current president of the Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
