The Sun hires Armstrong as business editor

Ashley Armstrong

The Sun has tapped Ashley Armstrong as a business editor.

She recently was a retail and M&A editor for The Times of London covering supermarkets and their suppliers, high street retailers, online platforms, luxury brands and consumer goods companies.

She also helped cover takeovers and stock market listings. She previously worked as a retail correspondent and retail editor at The Telegraph. She formerly reported on M&A and IPO stories for The Daily Telegraph and The Sunday Telegraph.

She has also reported for Dealreporter/Mergermarket, Credit Today and City A.M.

Armstrong has a B.A. in English literature from the University of Exeter and a master’s degree in newspaper journalism from City University of London.
