The Markup labor reporter Dara Kerr is leaving the technology news organization for a new opportunity. She had been covering Silicon Valley employees, gig and warehouse workers, and the ways labor is changing.
She joined The Markup from CNET, where she was a senior reporter, covering the on-demand economy and tech culture.
She previously was a freelance reporter who wrote stories on everything from El Salvador’s civil war to an Oakland shepherd who uses goats to prevent wildfires.
Kerr holds degrees from New York University, Columbia University and Cal-Barkeley.
