The Logic hires Lam as newsletter editor

Sharon Lam

The Logic managing editor Jordan Timm sent out the following on Monday:

I’m delighted to announce that Sharon Lam is joining The Logic as news & newsletter editor.

Sharon joins us from Breakingviews, the financial opinions and commentary division of Reuters News, where she’s spent nearly seven years. As production editor, first in Hong Kong and then in Toronto, she played a key role in producing Breakingviews’ daily newsletter, as well as columns published on the news wire and at Reuters.com.

In addition to her editorial responsibilities, Sharon has written columns on topics ranging from technology to consumer goods to shareholder activism. She produced Breakingviews’ two branded podcasts, Viewsroom and The Exchange, which focus on global business and economic trends. In her time at Reuters she has also produced TV segments, managed social media channels and spearheaded special projects, including long-form digital content, e-books and live events.

Prior to Reuters, Sharon worked as a private banking associate with HSBC and with Mirae Asset Global Investments in marketing and product development.

In this new role at The Logic, Sharon will oversee The Logic Briefing, our flagship newsletter, and assign and edit daily news coverage.

She is based in Toronto, and her first day with us will be Oct. 7.

Please join me in welcoming her to The Logic.
