The Information hires Peterson to cover tech, finance and crypto

Becky Peterson

Tech news site The Information has hired Business Insider’s Becky Peterson to cover technology, finance and cryptocurrencies.

She has been on the investigations team at Business Insider. She previously was also an enterprise tech reporter and a tech deals reporter.

Peterson has been at Business Insider since June 2017 and is based in the San Francisco bureau.

She previously worked for Folio as an associate editor. She holds a bachelor’s degree from University of California-Davis and a master’s degree from New York University.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
