Tech news site The Information has hired Julia Black to write features about the companies and people in the tech world.
She has been at Insider as a senior correspondent.
Black, who reported a story for the website about Barstool Sports owner Dave Portnoy, focused on in-depth investigations about the people and companies shaping our culture today for Insider.
Black previously worked in book publishing at HarperCollins, before heading to Esquire to write about pop culture and edit features. She also worked at Bon Appétit.
As an investigative business reporter, Black’s work has also appeared in Billboard, The Daily Beast, and others. She has also been writing for the daily media newsletter Off the Record.
