The Hill has tapped Filip Timotija to cover business and defense, particularly how they lobby politicians.
He has been breaking news reporter at The Hill covering a wide range of stories from Congress, the latest 2024 campaign developments, court battles, foreign policy and more. He started out at The Hill as an editorial intern in 2023 before joining the breaking news team.
Prior to working at The Hill, Timotija interned at The Seattle Times where he focused on politics, public safety and homelessness. He worked at Mediaite where he wrote about the intersection of media and politics.
Timotija studied communication with an emphasis on journalism and media studies at Whitworth University. During his time at Whitworth, he worked as a sports reporter and editor at WU’s student newspaper, The Whitworthian.
