The Economist has named Isobel Owen as its head of social media.
Owen has been a senior audience editor helping adapt The Economist’s journalism for social media and other digital platforms. She collaborates with colleagues within the Audience team and across the newsroom to reach new audiences and engage our current subscribers by leading on push alerts.
Owen also works closely with the podcasts team and is always looking for new ways to present our audio journalism across social media. She has written for various digital sections of The Economist.
Before joining The Economist as a social-media fellow in 2019, Owen completed a Masters in News Journalism at Cardiff University.
