The Economist has hired Anshel Pfeffer to cover Israel on a full-time basis.
He has covered Israeli politics and global affairs for over two decades. He is a senior correspondent and columnist for Haaretz.
“I started writing for the Haaretz Group in 1997 half a lifetime and nearly my entire career ago,” he wrote on Twitter. “It has been an immense privilege to be part of such a dedicated team and an essential newspaper.”
Pfeffer is also the author of the book “Bibi: The Turbulent Life and Times of Benjamin Netanyahu.”
