The Economist hires Gye to cover politics

The Economist has hired Hugo Gye as a political correspondent.

He is currently political editor at the i Paper. He was also deputy political editor.

Gye previously worked at The Sun and The Daily Mail.

He holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from the University of Cambridge.
