Claire Atkinson has joined The Ankler as a contributing editor. Recently, she served as chief media correspondent at Business Insider, where she worked for more than two years.
Atkinson hosts her own podcast, The Media Mix podcast, and is the founder of the newsletter of the same name. She worked at NBC News as a senior media editor and covered media conglomerates, the music business, sports tech and advertising for The New York Post.
She has written about the global media industry for more than 20 years, with her work appearing in Variety, Broadcasting & Cable and Hollywood Reporter.
Before joining Advertising Age in December 2002, Atkinson freelanced for three years in the UK, writing for the British edition of Entertainment Weekly, The Express and The Independent.
