TechCrunch has promoted Sean O’Kane to senior reporter for special projects.
“My goal is to do even more complex, meaningful, and impactful reporting, both by myself and with my fellow reporters,” he wrote on LinkedIn. “This will take many shapes, and I already have a few really exciting stories in the works.”
O’Kane has been senior transportation reporter. He previously was at Bloomberg News covering electronic vehicle startup companies and was based in Texas. He started at Bloomberg in January 2022.
O’Kane had been at The Verge for eight years and has been a senior reporter since February 2019.
O’Kane is a Hoftsra University graduate.
