STAT News has hired Zachary Tracer as senior editor, business and policy.
He will oversee policy and political reporters, as well as the business of health care team.
Most recently, Tracer was at Business Insider, where over the past five years he built the health care team of 10 reporters and editors. Before Insider, Tracer honed his business and policy reporting skills at Bloomberg News, where he covered the rollout of the Affordable Care Act’s insurance markets and Medicaid expansion and then-President Trump’s efforts to repeal the law.
Tracer is a Duke University graduate.
