Sportico hires Manfre as a reporter

Dylan Manfre

Business news site Sportico has hired Dylan Manfre as a reporter.

He will be part of a three-person team to produce content that’ll resonate with general sports fans.

Manfre was a Dow Jones News Fund intern in summer 2023 covering Newark, New Jersey for TAPinto Newark. He wrote about local businesses, housing markets, the environment and municipal government.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Rider University and a master’s degree from the University of Maryland.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
