SpaceNews has hired Adam Griffiths as chief product officer.

It’s a new role for the 35-year-old publication, which covers the business and politics of the space industry.

Griffiths most recently served as head of product at Foreign Policy magazine, where he led the transformation of the 55-year-old media brand. His work resulted in continual growth in B2C and B2B subscription revenue and the successful launch of FP Insider, a premium product serving policy professionals with exclusive data and research.

Previously, Griffiths was Foreign Policy’s creative director, where he oversaw the 2017 redesign of ForeignPolicy.com and produced its quarterly print edition. Earlier in his career, he served as deputy creative director at Washington Post Express, leading visuals for special projects and developing new print and digital products.

He holds a degree in visual journalism from Kent State University.
