Smith departs the Independent for Context News

Adam Smith

Adam Smith, a science and technology reporter at The Independent, has left to join Context News, where he will cover artificial intelligence, surveillance, digital rights, and big tech.

Smith will mostly cover the UK and Europe.

Smith served as contributing editor at PC Mag and as a staff writer for What Hi-Fi? at Haymarket Media Group, he reviewed consumer gadgets for online and print publication.

He contributed to the ‘Improve’ section at Future, where he wrote informative guides about using Apple software and hardware among other tasks. He also wrote for Stuff Magazine.

Smith graduated from the University of Exeter.
