Ellise Shafer has joined Variety’s international team as an online news editor.
She joined Variety in March 2020 as an editorial intern and then served as an associate news editor.
Shafer interned at Billboard, where she wrote over 150 articles ranging from trend pieces and celebrity interviews to event coverage of conferences, film screenings and concerts.
Shafer has a B.S. in journalism from Northwestern University.
