Aaron Schaffer, a researcher for the Cybersecurity 202 and Technology 202 newsletter at The Washington Post, has taken over the role of assistant editor.
Previously, Schaffer interned at and then served as an editorial assistant at Al-Monitor, where he co-wrote the weekly Middle East lobbying newsletter.
Schaffer has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Rochester and a master’s degree from American University School of Communication.
