Reuters hires Cerqueiro as capital markets correspondent

Reuters has tapped Pablo Mayo Cerqueiro to serve as a capital markets correspondent to cover EMEA equity and debt capital markets transactions, including IPOs, rights issues, block trades, bond issuances, syndicated loans and more.

Recently, Cerqueiro was at Mergermarket, where he worked as a M&A reporter and senior M&A reporter for financial services, and as head of financial services M&A EMEA. He reported for Euromoney Institutional Investor and EL ESPAÑOL.

He freelanced for Business Insider España.

Cerqueiro has a bachelor’s degree from Universidad de Santiago de Compostela and a master’s degree from S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
