Rest of World has hired Russell Brandom as its U.S. technology editor.
At Rest of World, Brandom will lead coverage of how big, U.S.-based tech firms such as Apple, Amazon, and Meta operate outside the West. He will also launch a newsletter.
Brandom previously was policy editor of tech news site The Verge. He had been in that role since September 2018 and previously was a senior reporter.
Brandom also worked as a staff writer at UrbanDaddy.
He is a Yale University graduate.
