Associate editor Alibhe Rea has left Bloomberg News to become political editor at The New Statesman.
She is based in London and was covering politics and finance for Bloomberg. She previously had been the host of Politico’s “Westminster Insider” podcast.
Prior to working for Politico, Rea was political correspondent for the New Statesman in London, covering Westminster politics.
At the New Statesman, she was also co-host of the New Statesman podcast, which won Politics Podcast of the Year at the Publisher Podcast Awards in 2021 and 2022.
She grew up in Belfast and holds an English and French degree from Oxford University.
