Kristene Quan is now deputy head of social media for The Economist.
She helps lead the publication’s daily social operations and social-media strategy, with a particular focus on its audiences in North America. Prior to joining The Economist, she was executive producer of digital content at Postmedia where she worked with newsrooms across Canada.
Before that, she was at The Globe and Mail where she worked in various roles, including content strategist, digital editor and social-media editor.
Quan has contributed to a number of publications including Time, MarketWatch, Report on Business Magazine, Maclean’s and Canadian Business. She holds a bachelor’s degree from McGill University and a master’s degree from Northwestern University.
