He will write Morning Trade, Politico Pro’s daily trade policy newsletter. Previously a Politico fellow, he covered the energy and commodity market for Bloomberg News in New York City and was a frequent on-air correspondent for the Dubai-based Asharq Al-Awsat.
Hawkins graduated from NYU Abu Dhabi. His work has appeared in major outlets based in the United States, the Middle East and around the globe.
