Politico managing editor of policy Clea Benson sent out the following to the staff:
We’re delighted to announce that Allison Prang is joining POLITICO as a reporter on our sustainability team. With experience covering finance, business and banking, Allison will build out our coverage of corporate governance and the social and environmental debates that are shaping key decisions in Washington.
Allison joins us after five years at the Wall Street Journal, where she covered breaking news while writing about labor, banking and the stock market on the side. At the Journal, she wrote about everything from the end of the Hoffa era at the Teamsters union to shifts in how banks serve customers.
Allison is a Chicagoland native and went to school at the University of Missouri. When not at work, you can find her running, reading or checking out the best local breweries. (She drinks any and all IPAs.) She also used to twirl fire batons as the feature twirler for her high school’s marching band, but promises not to bring them into the newsroom unless instructed. She currently lives in New York, and while she loves it to her very core, she and her fiance are very excited to make the big move to D.C. early next year.
Allison gets started today. Please join us in welcoming her to POLITICO.
