Politico hires Cirruzzo from Axios

Chelsea Cirruzzo

Chelsea Cirruzzo has joined Politico as co-author of the morning pulse newsletter and to cover the Department of Health and Human Services.

Recently, she was a reporter at Axios.

Cirruzzo freelanced for DCist, Washington City Paper, Eater, Washington Post, and The Lily. She has also worked as a public health reporter at U.S. News & World Report and as a reporter at Inside Washington Publishers, where she reported on health care policy with a beat in Medicare, Medicaid, rural health, maternal health and health technology.

She interned at and was a digital producer at WUSA-TV Ch. 9, a CBS-affiliate in Washington, D.C. She interned at NBC Washington and Newsday Media Group.

Cirruzzo graduated from American University.
