Pitchbook hires Bodley as a senior reporter

Pitchbook has hired Michael Bodley as a senior reporter covering venture capital.

Bodley has been freelancing. He most recently has been at Blockworks as a senior editor for investigations. He previously was at TheStreet.com overseeing its crypto coverage and as the editorial lead for its Crypto Investor newsletter.

Bodley previously was a senior writer for Hedge Fund Alert, writing about new funds, performance, service providers and personnel moves.

He was a breaking news fellow at the San Francisco Chronicle and a business reporting intern at the Boston Globe.

Bodley graduated from Elon University with a degree in journalism.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
