NY Times’ Stockman now covering manufacturing

Farah Stockman

Farah Stockman is now covering manufacturing for the New York Times.

She previously was in the opinion department as a writer covering foreign policy and national affairs as a member of the editorial board. Stockman also spent four years writing stories about race and class and middle America at the Times.

Stockman began her career in journalism as a stringer in Kenya, where she wrote stories for The Christian Science MonitorReuters and The Times.

After returning back to America, Stockman joined The Boston Globe where she spent seven years in Washington, covering foreign policy and wrote investigative pieces from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iran. She also served as a columnist and member of the editorial board for five years at the Globe.

In addition, she also won the Pulitzer Prize for commentary in 2016.

Stockman is a graduate of Harvard University.
