Mike Dang, former editor and co-founder of the personal finance site Billfold, has been hired by The New York Times to be an editor on its business news desk.
“I’ll be bringing a lot of my Billfold sensibility to the section, so if you missed that, you’re in luck!” he wrote on Twitter.
Dang was also is the editor-in-chief of Longreads. He also was a senior editor at The Counter, a nonprofit newsroom investigating the forces shaping how and what America eats. Dang was also an editor at Bundle.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from Cal-Irvine and a master’s degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
