New York Times business editor Ellen Pollock sent out the following:
All –
Sixteen months ago I told Joe that I would step down as Business Editor in about a year. I know this is not exactly a shocker, but that time has finally come. My last day in Biz – but not at The Times – will be sometime in September.
I want to thank you for everything. I’m very proud of what we have accomplished together over the last nine years, two months, one week and two days. I hope you are too.
You are all great and I’ll miss you tremendously. Serve readers, embrace change, have fun and remember I’ll still be reading you over my coffee. I just won’t be sending as many notes.
Your most avid reader,
Ellen
