Pennell moves from NY Times biz desk to live desk

Randy Pennell

Randy Pennell, who has been working as a senior staff editor of finance at the New York Times, is joining the Live desk as a senior editor.

Previously, he was an editor in the business department, and before that, served as a staff editor. Prior to joining the Times, he has worked at the Associated Press for more than 13 years.

There, he served as an editorial assistant, breaking news staffer and editor.

Pennell has a B.A. from St. John’s College.
