Tom Nuttall of The Economist is returning to Berlin to lead the publication’s Germany coverage.
Nuttall has been a senior editor on The Economist‘s digital team since March 2022. Before that he spent three years running the Berlin bureau, and four years writing the Charlemagne column on Europe. He has also worked as U.S. west coast correspondent in Los Angeles, and as an editor on the Europe desk in London.
Before joining The Economist, he worked as an editor at the European Council on Foreign Relations, a think-tank, and spent several years as a senior editor at Prospect magazine.
