New owner of Chattanooga paper wants to expand biz coverage

Times Free PressThe new owner of the Chattanooga Times Free Press plans to expand its business news coverage, writes reporter Daniel Dassow of the paper.

Dassow reports, “The Times Free Press will double down on business coverage in particular, Fuller said. The most profitable and sustainable media outlets in the world cover business, he said, adding that the Times Free Press had previously not invested enough in business coverage.

“‘We’re going to see a much bigger business newsroom, and when you’re out talking to your clients, that’s what they want to hear,’ Fuller said. ‘By the way, follow the money … business journalism is what people pay for.'”
