Jane Lytvynenko
NBC News has hired Jane Lytvynenko as a senior technology reporter.
She is based in New York and will cover how tech and conflict intersect and the impact of tech on the biggest stories of the day.
She has been a freelance reporter for the past four years and has contributed to the Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, The Atlantic, MIT Tech Review, and others.
In the summer of 2022, Lytvynenko contributed to a Journal investigation into Russian grain theft from occupied Ukraine, which won the 2023 Gerald Loeb Award. She also contributed to the WSJ’s investigative documentary “Shadow Men: Inside Wagner, Russia’s Secret War Company,” which became a finalist for the 2024 duPont-Columbia Award.
She has also been a senior research fellow at Harvard University and senior reporter at BuzzFeed.
