MSNBC has hired Akayla Gardner from Bloomberg News to be a White House correspondent.
At Bloomberg, she wrote a weekly newsletter, “Washington Edition: Inside the White House.” Gardner covered the historic 2024 presidential election for the wire service, traveling to every battleground state and reporting on campaign strategies, voter demographics and President Biden’s unprecedented withdrawal from the race.
She has been a “Balance of Power” producer, a crypto reporter, and a financial regulation and investing reporter at Bloomberg.
Gardner also interned at Bloomberg News and at CNN.
She is a graduate of Ohio State University.
