David Montgomery, a data journalist focusing on political data and the pandemic’s stats at MPR News, will be leaving to join the Minneapolis Fed, where he will be doing data journalism, looking into data about the economy and workforce in the Upper Midwest.
He has also worked freelance for various clients, including HuffPost and the University of Minnesota. He was also a data journalist at CityLab, the American Public Media Group, and Minnesota Public Radio.
He was also a political reporter at St. Paul Pioneer Press in the Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area and the Argus Leader in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He has also reported for the Rapid City Journal and the Pierre Capital Journal in South Dakota.
He was also an intern at The Seattle Times.
