Morning Brew publisher Donnelly is leaving

Jacob Donnelly

Jacob Donnelly, the publisher of the Morning Brew newsletter operation, is leaving at the end of the year.

Donnelly said on Twitter that he’s going to focus on A Media Operator, his twice-weekly subscription newsletter.

Donnelly has been with Morning Brew since November 2020. He previously was at CoinDesk, where his last job was managing director of digital revenue. He was also the owner of Crypto Brief.

He is a graduate of Mount St. Mary College.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
