
Tamsin McMahon, West Coast editor on weekends for Bloomberg News, died last month from breast cancer. She was 48.
Before joining Bloomberg last year, McMahon was managing editor of Lookout Santa Cruz when it won a Pulitzer Prize in 2024.
McMahon spent nearly eight years at The Globe and Mail, including two years as a real estate reporter. She also worked at Maclean’s magazine covering business and the economy, where she was nominated for two National Magazine Awards. She also worked at the National Post, along with several local newspapers in Ontario, Alberta and New Brunswick.
She is a graduate of Ryerson University.
