Natasha Mascarenhas, a reporter covering venture capital and startups for TechCrunch, is now covering fintech and how money blends with culture, economic empowerment and access.
She has been with TechCrunch since March 2020. She previously worked at Crunchbase covering venture capital and startups. Previously, she was a business reporting intern for the San Francisco Chronicle and SFGATE. Before that, she was with Boston Globe Media working as an audience engagement intern and business desk intern. There, she helped initiate and design a new internship program for the audience engagement field.
She also served as an editorial intern at BostInno and held the posts of business editor and collegiate correspondent at The Daily Free Press and USA Today, respectively. Additionally, she was a news intern at Spare Change News and worked as a staff reporter at Swimming World Magazine.
