MarketWatch.com has hired Maddy Perkins to be deputy editor of commerce.
She was director of editorial operations at Arizent.
She has led in the establishment of best practices in editorial operations across all 10-plus Arizent titles, including American Banker, The Bond Buyer, Financial Planning and Accounting Today. She also has acted as editorial project lead on all cross-brand/cross-title editorial projects including but not limited to joint editorial packages, and cross-brand editorial research projects.
Perkins previously was managing editor, assistant managing editor and associate digital editor at Financial Planning.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from Sarah Lawrence College and a master’s degree from the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism.
