Pavan Mahal, an audience editor at Business Insider, has left to join The Associated Press as digital manager for curation and engagement.
Mahal joined Insider in June 2019 as a social media fellow. She also served as an associate distribution producer and distribution producer. She also curated the homepage for BusinessInsider.com, Insider.com, and the Insider app
Previously, she freelanced for PA Media, News UK’s The Sun and PoliticsHome. She also gained experience working on The Economist’s data team. She interned at The Week UK and The Spectator, and wrote for Her Campus Media.
Mahal has a B.A. in English language and literature from King’s College London and a M.A. in interactive journalism from City, University of London.
