Kathleen Howley
Longtime business journalist Kathleen Howley, who was covering insurance for Bankrate.com, was among the layoffs this week at the personal finance site.
Before Bankrate, she was a senior reporter at The Messenger and editor in chief at Three Creeks Media.
She also was real estate editor and editor at large at Housing Wire. Before that, she had been covering the real estate market since 2000 for Bloomberg and Forbes.
In 2008, Howley won the Gerald Loeb Award for Distinguished Business and Financial Journalism for her coverage of the financial crisis.
