For the past two years, Liu was a China tech reporter.
Prior to Bloomberg, she was a senior business correspondent and Nikkei Asia and an Asia correspondent at the South China Morning Post.
She contributed to TED’s ideas blog, The Christian Science Monitor, National Geographic and Thomson Reuters Foundation. She was Asia correspondent at ClimateWire. E&E News, where she wrote about the business, politics and science of climate change.
She interned at The New York Times. Liu graduated from Xiamen University.
