Cindy Lou Larson, a former reporter for the Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly, died May 5.
She was 68.
Lisa Esquivel Long of the Business Weekly writes, “Larson worked many years at The News-Sentinel as a copy editor and as a feature writer. A New Haven High School graduate, she attended business school and worked for Dana Corp. before following her love of writing and completing a degree in journalism from Indiana University.
“She joined Business Weekly in 2019 to write about health news, the mayoral election, and other topics. She especially loved to cover the peregrine chicks born each spring in the nesting box atop the Indiana Michigan Power Center in downtown Fort Wayne. She later covered government reporting for Business Weekly as a freelancer, writing about Fort Wayne City Council tax abatements, Allen County Council items such as the new county jail and Allen County commissioners’ handling of zoning requests.”
