Insider promotes Zeballos-Roig to senior economics reporter

Joseph Zeballos-Roig

Insider has tapped Joseph Zeballos-Roig as senior economics reporter covering federal spending, unemployment and taxes, among other topics. He previously was a policy reporter, and before that, was a policy reporting fellow.

His bylines have appeared in various publications, including The New Republic, The Washington Post, Politico and MSNBC among others. He was an intern at WNYC Radio, CBS News and WFSU Public Media in Tallahassee, Florida.

He was also a reporter at the 2017 New York Times Institute and has appeared on CBS News, The Young Turks, Newsy, and iHeartRadio to discuss his reporting.

Zeballos-Roig  graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in international affairs and communications. He also has a master’s degree in journalism and European studies from New York University.
