Insider promotes Schwartz to chief national security correspondent

Mattathias Schwartz

Mattathias Schwartz, a senior correspondent at Insider, has been tapped to serve as chief national security correspondent.

Prior to joining Insider in May 2021, Schwartz as a contributing editor at Rest of World. He also contributed to The New York Times Magazine.

She was a staff writer at The New Yorker and served as editor and publisher of The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Schwartz graduated from Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania.
