The following was sent out from fnlondon.com:

Paul Clarke

Paul Clarke has been promoted to deputy editor of Financial News.

Paul is a exceptional journalist who has broken market-leading stories including HSBC shuttering its trading floor as Covid hit London, and Goldman Sachs’ junior bankers rebelling against brutal 100-hour weeks, which were widely followed by rivals.

He has a deep knowledge of investment banking, a core focus at FN, and gets the inside stories and key executive interviews at the world’s largest firms.

Since joining Financial News as investment banking editor in 2018, he has won four prestigious journalism awards including breaking news journalist of the year in 2020.

He has worked as a journalist for over 17 years including stints at the Financial Times, Euromoney and eFinancialCareers.

Outside of the day job, Paul is a long-suffering Leicester City fan, has two young children and runs half marathons.
