Matt Turner, editor in chief of Insider’s business news division, sent out the following on Monday:
I’m happy to announce we’re adjusting Spriha Srivastava’s job title to reflect her expanded oversight of our global bureaus: She’ll now be the International Executive Editor for the Business division.
Under Spriha’s leadership, our UK newsroom has rocketed, growing to 45 journalists in just two years. She’s already heavily involved with our expansion plans in Asia, working closely with Julie Gerstein and Lina Batarags in Singapore, and helping us scout possible new bureaus. This title change will formalize her leadership in those efforts.
We’re focused on growing our audience to 1 billion monthly visitors by 2025. Spriha will have a big part to play in that. If you want to learn more about our plans, please reach out to her.
