J. Clara Chan, a reporter for The Hollywood Reporter, has left after more than two years.
She has been covering how technology is transforming Hollywood, including at the major streaming companies, and through the creator economy.
Chan has been a media and politics reporter for The Wrap, reporting on the lack of accountability in Hollywood’s hiring practices, covered Harvey Weinstein’s criminal trial in New York, reviewed books related to the #MeToo movement, and broke exclusives on the media beat.
Prior to joining The Wrap in 2019, She was an editorial fellow at The Atlantic on the culture desk.
She also reported on the higher education beat as an intern at the Chronicle of Higher Education. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English in 2018 from Barnard College of Columbia University.
