Thom Hill, who was business editor for The (Raleigh) News & Observer in the 1980s, died Sept. 6 at the age of 75.
An obituary states, “He graduated from Cary High School Class of 1970 and UNC – Chapel Hill School of Journalism in 1974, In 1975 he married Priscilla (Edwards) Hill, formerly of Goldsboro, NC, and they began a grand adventure together for 51 years. Thom worked with The Salisbury Post, Salisbury, NC and The Raleigh News and Observer.
“While business editor with the News and Observer, Thom’s career moved over to the Research Triangle Park working for Northern Telecom (later Nortel Networks) in Raleigh, then to Atlanta, Nashville and Dallas in the area of marketing and communications..”
