Heatmap News hires Zeitlin to cover energy transition

Matthew Zeitlin has been hired by Heatmap News to cover the energy transition.

Zeitlin currently an economics reporter at Grid.

His stories have been published by The New York Times, New York Magazine, The New Republic, Barron’s, The Guardian, Vox, Slate, The Nation, Business Insider, Bloomberg Opinion, and The Atlantic, among others.

He previously worked as a reporter covering economics at BuzzFeed News and The Daily Beast, and as a news and politics contributor for Slate. He was also a contributing editor at The Dial and The Ballot.

He is a graduate of Northwestern University.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
